119.) EL USO DE "AIN´T"......UNA PALABRA PECULIAR Y COLOQUIAL

      

    "I ain´t going to pay for that"






AIN´T es una contracción y una palabra coloquial. Se usa para negar el verbo ser /estar y el verbo tener.
Se usa AIN´T mucho en el inglés sureño. También se usa esta palabra en el Reino Unido, especialmente la clase baja trabajadora. 
También se usa AIN´T en el dialecto Cockney y por supuesto en muchas canciones

Ejemplos con el verbo SER / ESTAR:
-I ain´t ready yet (I´m not ready yet)  = Aun no estoy lista
-He ain´t at work today (He isn´t at work today)  = No está en el trabajo hoy

-Ain´t you got any money saved up? = (Haven´t you got any money saved up?) = ¿No tienes dinero ahorrado?

                                                   "Excuse me..who´s the last person"?

La palabra "LAST" tiene diferentes significados y usos en ingles:

1.) Como verbo: "LAST" = Durar
También vemos que "LAST" se pone al final en frases interrogativas usando "HOW LONG"
Ejemplos:
-How long does the movie last?  = ¿Cuanto dura la película?
-How long did the meeting last?  = ¿Cuanto duró la reunión?
-How long will the party last? =  ¿Cuanto durará la fiesta?

Se usa cuando hay una posibilidad de que algo ocurra, y muestra nuestras intenciones cara al futuro

"WISH" también significa: DESEO

Pero claro "Si solamente"suena algo raro en español.....pero en inglés también se puede usar para decir "Ojala"
