4.) El USO DE LA PALABRA "ENOUGH"

ENOUGH" significa BASTANTE / SUFICIENTE. Se usa como adjetivo o adverbio

"Como adjetivo":   Enough + sustantivo
Ejemplos:
-I don´t have enough money to buy a car   = No tengo bastante / suficiente dinero para comprar un coche
-I didn´t get enough sleep last night   = No dormí lo suficiente anoche
-There isn´t enough time to catch the train  = No hay bastante tiempo para coger el tren
-We won´t have enough gasoline to arrive  = No tendrémos bastante gasolina para llegar
-There isn´t enough food for everyone  = No hay bastante comido para todos


"Como adverbio":  Se suele usar con un Adjetivo + enough
Ejemplos:
-You don´t go out enough     = No sales lo bastante
-I think this laptop is good enough for me    = Creo que este portátil es lo suficiente bueno para mi
-He looks happy enough to ask him     = Parece lo bastante contento para preguntarle

Hay muchos verbos "QUE VAN SEGUIDOS DE OTRO VERBO EN GERUNDIO"

Igual como los verbos compuestos (verbos + preposición), los "GERUNDIOS" se usan mucho en ingles y es bueno saber que verbos van con otro verbo, (pero en gerundio)

Aquí hay unos ejemplos importantes:
1.) Mind  = importar : ¿Te importa llamar mas tarde?  / Do you mind calling later?
2.) Remember  =  recordar : Me acuerdo haber visto a ese hombre antes  /     I remember seeing that man before
3.) Suggest  = sugerir: Juan ha sugerido comer comida china  / Juan has suggested eating chinese food
4.) Love  = encantar: Me encanta ir en bici  / I love going by bike
5.) Worth = valer la pena: No vale la pena ver la película porque es bastante aburrida  = It´s not worth seeing the movie because it´s rather boring
6.) Enjoy  = disfrutar:  Ella disfruta mucho comer chocolate  / She enjoys eating chocolate a lot
7.) Keep on  = seguir (continuar):  Espero que sigas estudiando ingles  = I hope you keep on studying english
8.) Stop  = parar (dejar de) :  No puedo dejar de leer este libro porque es tan bueno = I 
can´t stop reading this book because it´s so good
9.) Miss  = echar de menos:   Creo que echaré de menos ver a mis amigos cuando esté fuera = I think I´ll miss seeing my friends when I´m away
10.) Practice  = practicar:  : Es importante hablar en ingles con nativos  = It´s important to practice speaking English with native speakers
11.) Consider  = considerar : ¿Considerías trabajar en otro país? = Would you consider working in another country?
12.) Risk  = arriesgar : No arriesgues a perder tu carnet de conducir por beber demasiado = Don´t risk loosing your driver´s license by drinking too much
13.) Avoid  = evitar : Deberías evitar andar por ese barrio porque es peligroso  = You should avoid walking in that neighborhood because it´s dangerous
14.) Propose  = proponer: Que propones hacer para solucionar el problema?  = What do you propose doing to sort out the problem?
15.) Appreciate  = agradecer:  Agradezco que me ayudes con este infome =  I appreciate you helping me with this report
16.) Like  = gustar: Me gusta andar por la montaña = I like walking in the mountain
17.) Hate  = odiar : Odio conducir en la ciudad  = I hate driving in the city
18.) Recommend = Recomiendo comer en un restaurante que conozco  = I recommnend eating in a restaurant that I know
19.) Finish  = terminar: *¿ Has terminado de leer el libro?  = Have you finished reading the book? or Did you finish reading the book?

* Hay que tener cuidado con el tiempo verbal de arriba porque se puede usar AmE (ingles americano)  : Did you finish reading the book?  (se usa el auxiliar "DID" para hacer la pregunta
O se puede usar BrE (ingles britanico)  = Have you finished reading the book?  (aquí se usa "HAVE"como auxiliar)
*Es lo mismo y se usan las dos formas. Ya los explicaré con mas detalle mas adelante

20.) Regret  = lamentar: I really regret getting so angry  = Realmente lamento haberme enfadado tanto
21.) Bother  = molestar: Don´t bother calling him. He doesn´t pick up the phone = No te molestes en llamarle. No coge el teléfono


UNA BUENA EXPRESIÓN: "I have a gut feeling"  = Tengo un presentimiento
"Gut" significa "Tripa"

Algunas veces hay cierta confusión al usar las palabras "LIKE o AS" en inglés
LIKE : significa - SIMILAR A  = COMO

Ejemplos con "LIKE":
-I´m tall like you  =  Soy alto como tu
-You´re not like me  =  No eres como yo
-I like to travel like everyone  =  Me gusta viajar como a todo el mundo
-Hey, I´m like you  =  Oye, soy como tu
-Your bike is just like mine  =  Tu bici es igualita como (a) la mía
-I´m a teacher like my sister  = Soy profesor como mi hermana


También se usa la construcción: 
"look +  like": = PARECE QUE
Ejemplos:
-It looks like it´s going to rain  = Parece que va a llover
-Who do you look like? = ¿A quien te pareces tu?
-I look like my father  = Parezco a mi padre
-She looks like me  =  Se parece a mi
-It looks like I´m going to work on Saturday = Parece que voy a trabajar el sábado
-What does this look like to you?  = ¿Esto a que te parece a ti?
-He looks like he´s going to flip his lid any second now  = Parece que se le va ir la olla en cualquier momento

Muchas veces se usa: LIKE + pronombre + verbo
Ejemplos:
-It´s like you said, he´s late again  = Es como dijiste, llega tarde otra vez
-It´s like my mother used to say; "The early bird catches the worm"  = Es como mi madre solía decir "El quien madruga, Dios de ayuda"
-It´s like I told you the other day; some people have no idea. = Es como te dije el otro día; algunas personas no tienen ni idea
-It´s like Juan said, we´ll just have to wait and see what happens  = Es como dijo Juan, simplemente tendrémos que esperar y ver que occure

Expressions with "LIKE"

"AS": También significa “COMO”, "pero no tiene el significado de “similar a”
Se suele usar con "un pronombre como sujeto de la frase"

Ejemplos con "AS":
-As I know a little English, I´ll talk = Como se un poco de ingles, hablaré yo
-As we told you the other day, we have no idea  = Como te dijimos el otro día, no tenemos ni idea
-As it´s raining, I´ll stay home all day  = Como está lloviendo, me quedaré en casa
-As the company has problems, it´ll have to close = Como la empresa tiene problemas, tendrá que cerrar
-As I like to write and share , I like putting things in my blog  = Como me gusta escribir y compartir, me gusta poner cosas en mi blog
-As it´s a nice day, let´s go to the beach  = Como hace un día bonito, vámonos a la playa

Tambien se usa "AS" para hacer una comparación usando AS + ADEJTIVO +AS
Ejemplos:
- My bicycle is as good as yours  = Mi bici es tan buena como la tuya
- I´m not as strong as you  = No soy tan fuerte como tu
- Your car is as old as mine  = Tu coche es tan viejo como el mio 
- Is your apartment as big as ours?  =  ¿Es tu apartamento tan grande como el nuestro?

Expressions with "AS"
-As far as I know, Carlos was going to a meeting in Madrid  = Que yo sepa, Carlos se iba a una reunión en Madrid
-As if by magic, Tony called me just as I was thinking about him  = Como por encanto, Tony me llamó justo cuando estaba pensando en el
