1. SE PUEDE DECIR DE LAS DOS FORMAS: CON "ONLY" y "JUST" = SOLO O SOLAMENETE

- Just leave me alone = Simplemente dejame sola
- Just tell him you don´t want to go = Simplemente dile que no quieres ir
- I just want to say..I´m sorry = Simplmente quiero decir lo siento

4. - LOS USOS DE "ESTAR A PUNTO DE"
En este caso, siempre se usa "about"

TRANSLATION EXERCISE
Justo iba llamarte. Me voy fuera unos dias y no puedo ir.
Estoy trabajando demasiadas horas. Llego a casa tarde y super agotado y no me paga las horas extras.
Estoy harto.

I was just going to call you. I have two tickets for a basketball game. I´m going away for a few days and I can´t go.
How nice!.I was just thinking that its been a long time that I haven´t gone to a basketball game.
Well, it´s your lucky day.
You just / only have to come by my house.
And I just want to let you know that if you don´t go, I´ll get angry. They´re very expensive tickets
Don´t worry. I´ll call my friend Paco who really likes basketball.
I just spoke to him half an hour ago, and he told me he would be happy to go that basketball game because one of the players is a good friend of ours.
Well, what´s new with you?
I´m really uptight because my boss is a pain in the ass.
I´m working too many hours. I get home late, really tired and he doesn´t pay me overtime.
I´m fed up.
I think that when I come back next week, I´m going to resign.
As I have some money saved up, I´d like to travel by motorcycle around Europe for a year.
How lucky you are.
Well, we´ll see each other when you get back.
I just want you to have a great time traveling.
Me encanta todo tu contenido ! felicidades! Dios te bendiga mucho!

ResponderEliminarI’m here learning Spanish..it’s very helpful for me to see how English sentences transform into Spanish. I’ve always been confused when trying to use “Just” and “only” in Spanish, one way that we use “just” that wasn’t covered in the post, is to describe something that is exactly the same as something else. por ejemplo: his shoes are “Just” like mine.
ResponderEliminarI want a car “just” like yours. In these examples you couldn’t use “only” or it would sound very strange.
Así sin más = “just like + algo”
