This is also one of my favorite songs by R.E.M ..."Losing my religion"
LYRICS - Losing my mind Oh, life is bigger It's bigger than you And you are not me The lengths that I will go to The distance in your eyes Oh, no, I've said too much I set it up
That's me in the corner That's me in the spot light Losing my religion Trying to keep up with you And I don't know if I can do it Oh, no, I've said too much I haven't said enough
I thought that I heard you laughing I thought that I heard you sing I think I thought I saw you try
Every whisper Of every waking hour I'm choosing my confessions Trying to keep an eye on you Like a hurt, lost and blinded fool (fool) Oh, no, I've said too much I set it up
Consider this Consider this the hint of the century Consider this The slip that brought me To my knees failed What if all these fantasies Come flailing around Now I've said too much
I thought that I heard you laughing I thought that I heard you sing I think I thought I saw you try
But that was just a dream That was just a dream
That's me in the corner That's me in the spot light Losing my religion Trying to keep up with you And I don't know if I can do it Oh, no I've said too much I haven't said enough
I thought that I heard you laughing I thought that I heard you sing I think I thought I saw you try
But that was just a dream Try, cry, why, try That was just a dream Just a dream, just a dream, dream

We`re all tired. Today we walked around twenty kilometers starting from a small village
called Ares all the way to the top of the mountain.
It was a nice day and it wasn´t too hot.
It was an easy climb at first, but the last five kilometers were a little hard.
When we reached the top, everybody took off their shoes to walk in the snow.
From old Provencal it is called “figa”, which is also used in Valenciano. Thus, the word “figa” in Valenciano has a double meaning.
The Greek and Italian use a slang word for fig which is
“vulva”.I wonder why?
Hence, we see the
sexual connotation from the word “fig”, figa, and it´s very similar to the word in English.
In English, there is also a sexual slang word for "figa", which
is “pussy”.
In Spanish the slang word is chocho.
And so, we also have the word “fig leaf”=hoja de chocho
(coño).
I guess the fashion in those days was to cover the
female and male genitals with a fig leaf.
I first discovered figs when I came to Spain.
As I liked to
ride my bicycle in the countryside
in Spanish villages, I saw that there were fig
trees everywhere. One day I stopped and plucked a fig from a tree. To my surprise it was sweet and delicious.
I soon discovered
that there are different kinds of
figs.
There are green figs as
well as purple and black ones.
I like the green figs, but I don´t mind eating the other
ones.
In the summer, I can eat a dozen a day.
I love eating from two to five figs in the morning.
In the afternoon, I will another five figs.
It´s fun to go
walking in the countryside looking for delicious figs.
In Xirivella, Valencia, young people celebrate “Nit de les
Figues”
There a lot of
fig trees in this area, so they eat them in the morning together with
“rosquillas”.
Figs are rich in fiber, so they are perfect for people who
are constipated.
Figs are also very rich in calcium. Much more than apples and other citrus fruits.
Apart from having vitamins such as magnesium and iron, figs are rich in flavonoids.
Flavanoids can prevent a lot of illnesses.
Flavanoids are antioxident. They also improve blood circulation, reduce cholesterol, protect the stomach
and the liver, and arealso antiflamatory and protects against
bacteria. This fig fruit orginally comes from Asia and was already eaten in 9000.B.C.
If I remember correctly, there is a passage in the new
testament that mentions that Jesus was
walking in the countryside when he came upon a fig tree.
Perhaps he was hungry and he felt like eating some figs.
The only problem was that there weren´t any figs in the tree because it wasn´t the right seasonyet.
I believe Jesus got a
litle angry and cursed the fig
tree. In the end the tree died.
Perhaps Jesus didn´t sleep very well and was in a bad mood that day.
