15.) EL USO DE "HOW MUCH Y "HOW MANY"

 Niagra Falls. How much water!

"HOW MUCH" + sustantivos "INCONTABLES" (SINGULAR)  = Cuanto / Cuanta

Ejemplos
-How much coffee do you drink everyday?   = ¿Cuanto café bebes todos los días?
-How much money does she need for the loan?  = ¿Cuanto dinero necesita ella para el préstamo?
-How much work is there on Friday?   =   ¿Cuanto trabajo hay los Viernes?
-I don´t know how much time we have   = No se cuanto tiempo tenemos
-How much water do you drink in a day?   =  ¿Cuanta agua bebes en un día?
-How much food do you buy every week?  = ¿Cuanta comida compras cada semana?

Con "How much" también se usa con los auxiliares
Do, Did, Does, Is, Was, Were, Will, Would, Can

Ejemplos

-How much were the tickets?    =  ¿Cuanto costó las entradas?
-Do you remember how much the tent cost?
-How much did she drink?   = ¿Cuanto bebió ella?
-How much does it cost?   = ¿Cuanto cuesta?

-How much would you give me for my car?  = ¿Cuanto me darías para mi coche?
-How much was the family pizza?  = ¿Cuanto costó la pizza familiar?
-How much can you eat?  = ¿Cuanto puedes comer?

"HOW MANY" + sustantivo CONTABLE = Cuantos(as)
 Cuanta(as)

How many books do you have?

Ejemplos
-How many people came to the party?   = ¿Cuanta gente vino a la fiesta?
-How many books do you read in a year?

PEOPLE"- No diríamos: How much people? ....diríamos: How many people?

También se puede decir: How many persons are there?  o How many people are there?

-There are two persons waiting to see you   = Hay dos personas esperando para verte

    2. Tienes razon. Si dices:
¿Cuanto es / vale? .......sería: HOW MUCH IS IT?
      Si usas el verbo COST....sería:
¿Cuanto cuesta? = HOW MUCH DOES IT COST

    1. Buena pregunta.
Ahora si digo: How many people did you see? En caso caso el sujeto es "YOU"...y por ese si se usa el auxiliar "did"
Otro ejemplo: How many friends came to the party?
